MM2H Visa Guide (2026): Tiers & Requirements

Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) is Malaysia's long-stay visa for foreigners, restructured into Silver, Gold and Platinum tiers plus a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) pathway. Here's what each tier requires.

Properties purchased under MM2H carry a 10-year resale restriction enforced by the state land authority.

Fixed Deposit Withdrawal

Up to 50% of the fixed deposit can be withdrawn after completing a qualifying property purchase, for approved purposes: property purchase, children's education in Malaysia, or medical expenses in Malaysia.

Age & Residency Requirements

The SEZ route has a minimum age of 21; Silver, Gold and Platinum applicants must be 25 or above. Applicants under 50 must spend at least 90 days per year in Malaysia; there is currently no annual stay requirement for those aged 50 and above.
